We are just loving the Lord's work!

What’s goood?

Danggg, so crazy to think that this will all be coming to an end in 2 weeks!!! Saying bye to all of these amazing people is going to be so hard, and it will definitely leave a big whole in my heart. Luckily, I will get a huge hug from my mom when I get to the airport so that will definitely make things easier.

This week we baptized a really sweet girl. Her name is Cinthia, and her sister Kenya was baptized about a year or so ago. We went and visited Kenya a couple of weeks ago and the two girls we really excited to see us. They have been coming to all of the activities with us and to church too. Cinthia recently turned 8 years old and she was really excited to take this next step in her life. Her parents aren’t members; however, they came to church on Sunday and they loved it. We are excited to keep on teaching them too!

Allende is blessed with tons of great people, and Elder Rios and I are just loving the Lord’s work. We are preparing a couple more people to be baptized soon. Stay tuned for more updates. Haha

Last week I couldn't send an email out because we went to this small ranch with some members and we hung out with them for most of our p-day. We went with a really nice older couple and they just loved telling us stories haha!  It sure made me miss my grandparents even more. When we got to their ranch, we ate a great breakfast. Then later on they killed a goat and cooked it up for us haha, which was really tasty, and full of protein.

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Last zone conference!

What’s good kids?

The mish grind is going pretty good these days. We had a great zone conference here in Piedras Negras. So many emotions going through me before and after and during my last testimony. I can't believe this will all be coming to an end in about a month. The mish is just so amazing!! This week we baptized Mariana- she is just so great! She is 12 years old and her cousin Antonio got baptized about a month ago and we started teaching her a few short weeks ago. She came to church with us and she really wanted to go to the temple this week so we baptized her and then we got her a temple recommend and she will be going to the temple this Saturday!!!

Ohh and actually mentioning temples…one of my converts in Palaú, Melisa went to the temple a couple of weeks ago and she also started teaching her mother Juanita about the gospel and she got baptized! It is the coolest thing every to see a lot of my converts progressing! I can't wait to be able to be in contact with them more often when I get home!!!

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Grinding hard in Allende in my big straw hat

What’s goooood?

The grind is definitely not finished yet... we out here grinding harder than ever before in Allende!! We have found some really dope people. We are preparing a couple of people to be baptized soon. These next 5 weeks should be great!! These last couple of months have just been a blast, definitely gonna miss the mish high key...

Due to the 120-degree weather, I started to use a gigantic straw hat haha so that’s pretty hype.

Today after we cleaned the house l, I decided that it was some time for some gainz... so I brought all of my dumbbells outside on the rooftop (because we live on the second level of a house). I noticed that there was an old mini fridge that was broken so I laid it down on its side and put a blanket on it so that I could use it as my bench to do some dumbbells press and some flys and a couple of other workouts. I also hung up my bands from a metal bar outside for some upper chest. Plus, I was able to do some pull ups outside by the balcony!! I also did a bunch of other workouts and finished up the 3-and-a-half-hour routine with 20 mins of lunges! It was a good one! Gotta love some gainz in MX!!

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Busy with baptisms, leadership meetings and meeting the new Mission Pres!

What a crazy week haha...It was like insanely busy the whole week, there was just so much stuff to do and so little time and some cool miracles and some big changes and some hard goodbyes..... and steak of course!!!!

So, like long story short, on Monday Elder Atkin went off to Saltillo to train and Villalobos got transferred to Ramos Arizpe. After p-day ended I went and visited Sebastian and Ivan to get everything ready for their baptism and to prepare a couple things and what not. Then on Tuesday I ran around all day visiting tons of people and what not... you all know how that grind is. Then before I left for Saltillo on Wednesday we had Ivan and Javier interviewed for their baptisms. Then I jumped on a bus for 9 hours rip.

When I got to Saltillo we went to the AP's house for the night and then the next day we all met the new Mission pres. during the Leadership Conf. His name is President Meza and he is super cool. It was so great to meet him; it was such a tender moment when he walked into the room with his wife by his side seeing all of us for the first time.

After the conference we ate some steak..... and then we got on the bus for a solid 9 hours again and then we got to Piedras at like 3 AM and as we got off the bus the police and all the military guys wanted to see my visa and I showed them the paper copy I had and they kept harassing us for like 20 and I was tired so that was funnnn.... lol

Friday morning, we got Sebastian interviewed and then on Friday night we baptized Sebastian and Ivan. They are cousins and they are both 13! I told you guys about them a couple weeks ago, we found them while working with a teacher Samuel after we said a prayer to be guided by the Spirit! It was a great baptismal service! Great kids.

Friday night we visited Cloudia's family and we had a really good lesson about baptism and what not and there was a super strong Spirit but her daughter Abril and her son Jorje weren´t sure if they wanted to be baptized yet. Their mother said an amazing closing prayer saying how she just wants her kids to be able to live with her in the Father’s kingdom with her. Later that night we got a phone call at like 11 from their mother and she told us that Abril decided that she wanted to be baptized on Saturday so that was such a miracle! Her grandmother and Aunt are really strong members of the church and they were just so happy! Cloudia shared her testimony during the baptismal service and the Spirit filled the room. It was very powerful and sincere.

The other baptism was a kid named Javier, we taught him with his buddy Yarik. It was really dope, Yarik even got to baptize Javier since Yarik is 15! I met Javier’s aunts in Frontera when I started my mish so that was cool... small world. We threw a Carne asada party with the ward mission leader and his family to celebrate…. it was fun!

I'm getting transferred in like an hour so that will be fun. I’m going to Allende and I will still be in the same zone just a little bit away from the rest of the zone haha. I’m really stoked though it's gonna be a blast!

Well I’m out of time…

 Much love, Elder Ceb

Tough goodbyes to President and Sister Cahoon

Que tranza??  This week went great! We said are last goodbyes to President and Sister Cahoon and so that was really hard. We had a Conference here in Piedras and the elders from the Acuña zone came and joined us. It´s crazy to think that he leaves on Thursday. I was privileged with the opportunity to conduct the program for his last conference. As I sat on the stand and pondered before the Conference started King Benjamin’s last talk came to my mind. I thought of how he gathered all of his people before he passed away so that he could help each and every one of them to make covenants with the Lord. I saw a great resemblance between that day when he gathered his people and this past week when we were gathered together with President and Sister Cahoon for the last time. King Benjamin truly gave great advice to his people and he changed generations and I knew that this conference would also change generations. President and Sister Cahoon gave us the best advice! As we started the conferences I felt that I needed to share some of King Benjamin’s words to help everyone in the zone to have a life changing experience. So, I invited everyone to open their ears so that they could hear, and their hearts so that they could understand, and their minds so that they could see the mysteries of God. Just as King Benjamin did in Mosiah 2:9 then I told President and Sister Cahoon how much we love them and it went great! As they gave their last testimonies the Spirit was so strong, it filled the whole room. As Sister Cahoon bore a powerful testimony, she looked me in the eye and said that she was doing just fine with her emotions as they arrived until I invited the Spirit to the room as we started the conference and then President Cahoon shot me a quick wink! I lowkey cried haha it was a tender moment. I'm gonna miss them.

This week is gonna be a busy one. We have a Leadership conference with our new Mission President, President Mesas, on Thursday and then we gotta rush back to Piedras because we are going to have a big conference with three zones in Piedras on Saturday so that President Mesas can meet everyone. Then we should have a couple of baptisms and then after that I’m getting transferred to a small town called Allende for my last 6 weeks of the mish so that will be great. I’m wayyy excited!

Much love, Elder Ceb
