Mission life is good!

Life is just too good at the moment.  We have been working really hard and we have some really great people progressing. I have been striving really hard to gain the trust of all of the local leaders and it has helped a ton. This Sunday Elder Martinez, from one of the Quorums of the 70, came back to our ward. He used to live here about 5 months ago... but his daughter finished her mission and so they came to our sacrament meeting. He is going to be here on the weekends though and he was super great with all of our investigators, so that was sweet. He told them all that he wanted to be there for their baptisms so that was cool!

P-day was super hype! I chilled with my boy Angel.  He served his mission in Monterrey and he is a straight G. When I finish up to mission I’m going to hit up Monterrey with him and some friends!!

We have zone conference this week, so I have a ton of stuff to do at the moment.  I need to get things ready so to keep things short… the mission life is good!!!

Much love,
Zone leader, District leader, Trainer, Senior Companion - Elder Ceb

Baptized Ximena this week

What’s good?

Pretty solid week once again, we had another solid show up at church and we baptized Ximena!! She is super cool; it has been great to teach her. Her best friend is a member of the church and she goes to a ward in Saltillo... & one day Ximena asked her friend about the church and then they gave us the reference and we went and visited her on a Saturday and she came to church the next day. We were able to teach her with a ton of members so that was super cool. The Spirit was really strong each time we taught her. She’s a really cool convert with a strong testimony.  She will be going to the temple next week, which is super dope!

We have like 10 people ready at the moment to get baptized so we just finna grind this week to see what happens!

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Working hard in Ramos

Que onda fam ??? Soy el Mejorrrrrrr

We had a really great week! We brought 8 people to church and we have some that are progressing really great. We found a family last Sunday working with the ward list. The mother of the family was baptized about 10 years ago but went inactive shortly after and started going to a Christian church. My companion and I visited them last Sunday night and washed all of their dishes from Christmas and the New Years and explained some things about the church as we showed love for them! It was great to have the four of them in church. It is really funny because the grandma like high key has a crush on me, so she was super excited when I showed up to push her wheelchair to church hhaah!

We also had a youth that we are teaching come once again too. Her name is Ximena, and this is her third time coming, she is really animated with her fecha for this week. We had a great lesson with her last Friday with her friend from Fundadores Christian, and another member from the Aurora named Billy. It was awesome, everyone brought a super strong Spirit. This week we have some lessons planned with some YSA in the ward and we are planning the baptism too so that there will be some good ward support.

After we brought that first family to church we went running 6 blocks up the street for another family, however, they didn’t end up coming this week. We found them on Saturday and they are really cool. I had a really strong prompting to ask a lady if she was a member and she told me that her mom got baptized about two years ago in Veracruz and she is really interested.

Shortly after we left on Sunday, we had a family of four walk in that we have been teaching! It was great to see them there! We were really direct with them on Saturday. I read Mosiah 2:9 and explained why King Benjamin was talking and also a little about what he taught his people. Then I read Mosiah 6:1-2 and explained how everyone made covenants with the Lord except for the young kids. I explained how they need to teach their kids the things that King Benjamin taught and how they need to set the example. Then I explained the difference between the truth, and beliefs, and traditions and I explained some things about baptism. Then we read Mosiah 26:1-4 and explained what happened that the people that were kids when King Benjamin gave his talk and how they needed to teach their kids and help them make covenants now because there kids are 9 and 11 and if they wait a couple of months or years their kids could be like those kids that didn’t want to be baptized because they didn’t want to understand what King Benjamin taught and they did not want to be baptized. They I told the dad that he was responsible to teach his kids and I also explained that he is an agent and not an object so if he really wanted to help his family, he would be able to do it! It was so great to see them in church!!

I did a really interesting interview this week. The guy that I interviewed was like super excited to meet me because he thought I was like some really especially upper level Elder or something because I would be the one interviewing him. When I got to his house he ran out and gave me a big hug and then we went into the room where I did the interview and he put his both hands out and was like please sit on the throne my great friend. Then I sat down, and he hugged me and started to tell me his conversion story, so we hugged for a bit haha probs like 15 mins haha and then I was like okay fam we gonna start with a prayer. Then I sat down, and he kneeled down in front of me and like put his head on my lap... like in my stomach and grabbed my hands and I asked him who he wanted to pray, and he was like please do me the honor and pray. After that the interview went great, then when I asked him if he wanted Elder Lopez or Elder Garcia to baptize him or a member he was like- ¨what about you¨and I was like…¨what about me¨and he was like please baptize me haha. Then I was like hmmm, I really wanna dunk you but I know that Elder Lopez does too and then he was like hmmm how about all three of you enter the water with me but you dunk me... and I was like hmmm how about I be a witness with one of the other Elders and then the Elders can dunk you and then he was like no I want you to dunk me and Elder Lopez and Elder Garcia to be the witnesses haha. Then I talked with Elder Lopez and he really wanted to dunk him haha so then we talked with the guy and I was like fam… I will give a talk at your baptism and he was like alright that would be amazing. and I will humbly say that it was the best baptism talk I have heard... just being humble.

Haha so many more things that I want to say lol, but I am out of time...

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Nothing Better than the Lord's Work

Hope all is Gucci!!

This week went really good, it definitely went by way too fast though like rip... One of the dope things from this week was our Leadership Conference. We all came fasting, and a lot of revelation was received!  The mission is on its way up! Tons of really cool changes happening, and we are all working really hard as leaders! My zone killed it this past month, love them all a bunch!  It has been so great to be able to work with them! As a mission, we are striving to work a ton with members and it has brought tons of success as a mission!  We always find 16 new investigators every week in every area, and now we are going to be finding at least 8 more each week from members, which will bring tons of success!

My gainz have been super good lately.  I made a bench out of some boxes and I got my 40-pound dumbbells back, so I have been hitting some bench press every day! Today I did 10 sets of 20 reps with a quick little super set of 20 back workouts!

Today for p-day we hit up H&M and B-dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings) so that was super gooood! I love Saltillo so much haha!

I´m so excited for another week in the grind; there is nothing better than the Lord’s work!  I’ve been training a new missionary lately, and his whole mission is still in front of him and I only have like 6 months left which is insane... Time goes by way too fast, we’re just gonna keep grinding through!  So many more people to find, teach, and baptize!!

Much love,

Elder Ceb

Elder Cebollero's Homecoming

We loved hearing Elder Cebollero speak in our church about his mission and hearing his beautiful testimony.  After church, we had a taco bar...
