Never Been Happier

What a really good week! My companion and I worked really hard to put all of the other areas in our zone before us with a firm trust in the Lord that everything would work out within the zone and in our own area!

We worked with Elder Atkin and Elder Gonzalez last Sunday after church and we had a lot of success. We were able to secure a couple of baptisms with them and then Elder Atkin went and taught a young dude in English which was kinda weird tbh.

Then on Monday we took some materials to some Elders and Sisters and then worked for a little bit with Elder Vaquero and Elder Moreno! It was good to be with them for a little bit, we were able to meet some of the people they had been teaching and help secure some baptisms that they have coming up!

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we were able to work a little bit in our area and we had lots of success. However, it felt like we had no time haha because we had lots of things to plan for Zone conference....

Friday and Saturday, we had our zone conference.  We had a really good time! It was such a revelatory experience, so many changes happening in the mission at the moment. About 2 weeks ago we started asking for dats everyday instead of a couple of times throughout the week and we have seen some amazing results from it. I also had a chance to work with Elder Brooke and Elder Ruiz a bit too after some interviews on Friday. It is always fun to work with a couple of Elders in a trio!

On Sunday we had a really dope broadcast presided by Elder Rasband. He talked a lot about ward missionary work which was great.  We have been working tons with the members lately. This past week we were able to gain 14 references from members, recent converts, and even nonmembers, which has helped us immensely.

We even went on splits last night with a member and It went great! We visited Elder and Lupita and they were talking about how they want to get married in the temple and everything and they were crying with joy because of how their lives have all changed over the past month when we found them. When we were at our Leadership conference, President shared a story of a former missionary and some Elders that baptized their family and what not, and it reminds us a lot of Lupita ad Elder, so we are going to make a video of them soon ahha!

Never been happier, the church is true fam!

Much love,

Elder Ceb

Revelation is Real!

This week was insane! Things are going incredibly good! This Sunday we were able to bring six families to church! It was amazing, haha, we filled up three whole rows just with our investigators. We still have tons of more work to do though, we are currently working with over 30 families and things are looking really promising. The coolest part about Sunday was that we were able to gain the Bishop’s trust, he has had bad experiences with missionaries that were in the ward before and now he is really animated to work with us.

This past week we had our leadership conference in Saltillo! Revelation is real! Lots of changes coming here in Saltillo, and tons of success in store for each and every one of us! So exciting to see how the mission is progressing as a whole! We were also able to eat some all you can eat pizza which is always fun!

The Spirit is guiding us, it is amazing. Like for example, today we took a little bit of time out of our p-day and helped a non-active member get her kids to school, and then while we were at the school some lady came up to me and said she was a member and then after I talked to her and she asked me to baptize her 5 kids! A lot of the other people that we are teaching have been found in similar ways. I have never had a stronger testimony of the way the Spirit can guide us; however, my companion and I have been able to share so many experiences together over these past three weeks!

We were going to baptize Lupita this past week, however, her mother in law wanted to come to the wedding and she lives in Veracruz. She got here last night though so everything is set for this weekend! I have no clue how we are going to do everything ahha because we also have zone conf, and some other people baptizing in our zone, however we will get things done!

Over these past couple of months, I have been reading the Book of Mormon every day and writing down notes to help me relate everything together, and I have also been writing down every tender mercy each day in my journal. I feel like baring my testimony of all the things that I have learned from both of these habits I have developed; however, I feel that words can’t describe how I feel, and how much I have been able to learn. All I want to say is that I know that God lives, and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and I know without a doubt that they guide us and look after us and help us in every waking moment.

Much love,

Elder Ceb

The Church is TRUE!

This week went really good!

I baptized my boy Carlitos on Saturday so that is always super fun! I found him my first week here, and it is a super cool story!  We were walking to an apt. and his dad said, "hey Elders." I thought my comp knew him but as we kept walking to the apt. I asked my comp and he said he had no clue who he was.  We both felt prompted to find him, so we started asking around. We managed to find his house and his wife answered the door. She came outside and said that her husband served a mission and that she had been to church before in Veracruz. She said that she had talked with missionaries before, but she was Catholic and frankly wasn’t quite interested, however, we quickly informed her that she had never talked to Elder Cebollero and Elder Lopez and then she let us in and started to talk with her family! Her husband was super excited to talk about this mission and he was really animated that we found his house! She has been really good at keeping commitments. The other day we went to teach the Restoration and as we were committing her to pray she said that she had prayed the night before after she finished reading. She then preceded to state that she had felt an overwhelming peace and she knew that everything was true! We are planning on getting her married this week so that she can be baptized this week too!

Oh, yah…Carlitos is her son. She had him when she was really young before she got together with Elder (yah the former missionary’s name is Elder haha… so dope). Carlitos is 8 years old so we thought he belonged to the branch, however, his mom is not a member and Elder isn’t his real dad. We didn’t even realize this until Lupita (his mom) said that he had read every pamphlet and wanted to hear the lessons! When we started to teach him, it was super cool because he remembered every little detail from every pamphlet. Such a bright kid with a sweet spirit, we are best friends!

We baptized Carlos on Saturday night at like 10 o'clock after stake conference.  Pres. Cahoon and Sister Cahoon came to the baptism, and we had president give a quick message! My companion and I also grabbed some Carlos Jr. to celebrate which was super goood!

We finna baptize at least 20 more before Christmas, stay tuned, the Church is true!

Much love,

Elder Ceb

The weather is cold but the work is on fire!

I’m going to make this another quick one haha. I swear the zone leader life leaves me with no time.  Last week we had an Elder get to our zone from Monclova, so we had to run and grab him from the bus station and take him to his area. We got to their house a little late, so we had to stay the night. We woke up and  it was freezing cold outside and we were wearing short sleeve shirts haha. Anyways, we walked outside to grab a bus at like 6:30 and it was freezing.  We ran into a nice lady form Monterrey who happened to be a member and she offered to pay for a taxi for the three of us. So, we waited for a taxi with her as bus after bus passed by for about an hour until a taxi stopped for us. I have never been so cold in my life... smh.

Elder Lopez and I had a killer week! We set 6 baptism dates this past week, so everything’s going great! We have been working a ton with members, and we have been helping our zone do the same!

Well I’m out of time now haha,

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Talking to everybody we see!

Que onda perros!? Super crazy week and I have no time whatsoever, so it is going to be a quick one! Anyway things are going amazing. I bought the dopest suit with my boy Elder Atkin today haha and my companion and I are killing it! This past week I had zone conference once again haha.

It was great to be able to be a part of another zone conference! It went really good! The zone seems to get together really good. I am so excited to get working with them more and more! Elder Lopez and I had a killer week, we baptized Melisa and Ivan- two youth! We also managed to find 32 investigators, which was crazy! We just kept looking and looking, without wasting time, using every opportunity to teach and find!

I have a huge testimony of talking to everybody!  On Friday, from 1 pm to 3pm, we found 15 new investigators, just by talking to everybody and listing to the Spirit. The crazy thing is that a solid amount of those investigators are from part member families from other states in Mexico and they found us! Most people say it is impossible to find during that time of the day, however, there are tons of ways to find and teach! Some of them even came to church, we had a solid 6 come! We plan on working hard so that we will baptize each and every week!
So many more things I want to mention, however, there is no time haha! Super good week though!

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Ready to work in my new area- Ramos Arizpe!

What’s gooood vatos!

This is going to be a really short one because I got transferred today so I like legit just got to my area and as always, I’m just trying to get out and work! Anyways, now I'm in Ramos Arizpe still as Zone Leader so it should be fun! My best friend Elder Atkin is in my zone, and in my ward...so this will be a blast!

This past week in Muzquiz was insane! I went to Sabinas to do interchanges with the Elders out there, however, then Elder Miller, the other ZL, had to go to Saltillo for visa problems so I ended up traveling back to Rosita with him. Then I worked with Elder Damuni and Elder Smith for a bit, RIP they will be missed. Then on Thursday I got a call and Elder Carreon my old trainer.... came to Muzquiz to be in a trio along with Elder Rodriguez and me. It was cool to see him again, he is an interesting guy ha! Then Friday I interviewed a couple of people in Palau, one of them was one of my old investigator. She was so excited to see me again, it was sooooo coool!
Yesterday I got the privilege to baptize Carlos. He is 22 and he is an awesome convert! He is honestly the coolest dude, right after his baptism he told me that he had been reading Alma 36 in the morning and that it had made him like so hyped and what not! It was hard to say bye to him yesterday. He actually even gave me this traditional Mex shirt that was his great grandpa’s... It is super coool!

Much love,
Elder Ceb

I love the Book of Mormon!!!

Oct. 1, 2018

Que rrrollo perrrros?

This week was super great! We had our zone conference, and everything worked out really good! It was great to have President and Sister Cahoon with our zone for a couple of days! We also had our District Conference. It went really good. I got to translate for Sister Cahoon for about two hours! It was such a cool experience, kind of tiring though haha. It was so cool because every time that I translated someone’s testimony for her; I felt like I was bearing my own testimony; I could feel the Spirit so immensely!

I am so excited for General Conference! I have been preparing so very much, hope you all are doing the same! When Elder Bednar was talking to us a couple of weeks ago he told us to just take small notes like the small plates! So, after he said that I started to read the Book of Mormon once again while taking small notes in a little notebook. I have just been noting down main characters and prophesy and other things that catch my attention. Over this past month or so, I have almost finished the Book of Mormon once again. My plan is to finish it by Friday so that I will be ready for General Conference on Saturday and Sunday! My plan is to read over all of my notes quickly before General Conference and that way when ever a story is told from the Book of Mormon, or whenever anyone is mentioned from the Book of Mormon, I will know exactly who they are talking about and exactly what happened in each story! Love the Book of Mormon so much!

During zone conference, President Cahoon talked a little bit about the difference between a converted Missionary and a Missionary with a testimony. He talked about how a converted Missionary always wakes up at 6:30 and how a Missionary with a testimony does not. I have never had a problem waking up on time, but over these past couple of days I have been pondering this a lot thinking of how I can come even more converted as a missionary, a member of this church, and as a priesthood holder. One thing I know for sure is that the small and simple things are so very important! I was also thinking about how converted missionaries always look and take advantage of every opportunity to teach and find, while missionaries with testimonies only teach and find when they have appointments or half heartily make a couple of attempts to contact people during the day! Lately, I have been looking for every opportunity to teach and find. I have never felt more lost in the work; I feel great!

We have this way cool investigator named Carlos.  He is 22 and high key wants to go on a mission and everything! We are planning on baptizing him this week, along with two kids we are teaching! We will see what happens though! Should be a great week.

Much love,
Elder Ceb

Elder Cebollero's Homecoming

We loved hearing Elder Cebollero speak in our church about his mission and hearing his beautiful testimony.  After church, we had a taco bar...
