Que tranza morros!?
I don’t have any time today since we were in Musquiz all day and just barely got back to Palau! However, real quick I’m just gonna say that I had a really dope week haha!
Monday and Tuesday, we worked really hard and found a bunch of new people to teach! Then on Wednesday we went to Barroteron and during are food appointment Hermana Chowey helped Elder Leon and I perfect our flour tortilla making skills. Then after we visited some people, we held a huge FHE with a solid 30 people, which is good because there are only like 5 people in Barroteron! It’s even smaller then Palau haha! The Spirit was way strong, Hermana Chowey, the lady that taught us how to make tortillas, bore a really strong testimony and said she wants to get baptized, because she is not a member; however, she has been living with her boyfriend for 30 years. He still won’t marry her despite all the kids and grandkids they have together... it is really sad because she has such a strong testimony and has been trying to get married for over 10 years so that she can get baptized.
Thursday, we had a bunch of appointments and found some more people. Then on Friday we went to Rosita for the Zone conference, it was way goood! After the zone conference we headed back to Palau in a trio to work with my boy Ibarra for a little bit, he is a way dope AP I’m gonna miss him when he leaves next change rip! We found some really coool people and then jumped on a bus and headed back to Rosita for the second day of zone conference in Rosita! We took turns interviewing with Pres while we played soccer and what not! It was way chill, Sister Cahoon always makes us Rice Krispy treats for every zone conference, and this time she even taught us how to make them so that was fun!
Saturday after the zone conference we went to a couple of appointments and then it started to rain like way hard which was crazy since it hasn’t rained here for like 6 months hahah!
Sunday, we had a great day at church, and then we visited some less active families! However, because of the elections in Mexico, we had to be in our house by six o’clock for safety issues! So, I decided to practice my flour tortilla making skills, and they actually turned out way good haha like 10 times better then Cafe Rio tbh!
For P-day this Monday, we went over to Musquiz and watched a church movie on my projector, while Elder Sabey and I made the dopest Rice Krispy treats! We put some crunched up Oreos in with the Rice Krispies and marshmallows, and then mixed more Oreos in with the frosting, and then to top it off we put more Oreos on top ha-ha!
Then we went to la Cascada in Musquiz with Elder Sabey and Elder Larieta along with the family of Shelsea, the girl we baptized a couple of weeks ago, they brought us lunch and we hung out while their kids swam and then played some soccer and what not! It was a way chill day!
Quick shout out to the fam for the two packages this week! They were both very much appreciated! my comp loves his USA shirts and I have been giving the other stuff away to some of the other Latino Elders in my zone!
I’m really excited for these next couple of weeks, I’m loving the mission right now!
Hope everyone is doing good!
Much love,
Elder Ceb
